Step into a rewarding opportunity to support young learners as a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist during a maternity leave position from September through November. This onsite contract role, located near Burlington, WI, focuses on providing essential speech and language services within an elementary school setting. Whether you’re an experienced clinician with CCC credentials or completing your Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), your expertise will make a lasting difference in the lives of students.
You’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver individualized and group therapy, supporting students’ communication needs during this important academic period.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid SLP licensure with eligibility for school-based practice
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong candidates in their CFY will also be considered
- Background in pediatric speech-language pathology, with previous experience in schools or similar settings
- Comfort with school documentation, IEPs, and communication with academic teams
- Knowledge of evidence-based interventions and an ability to tailor services to an elementary caseload
- Experience in onsite therapy required; teletherapy is not an option for this assignment
- Team player invested in fostering positive, inclusive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop IEP goals targeting speech, language, and communication skills
- Deliver direct therapy to students in one-on-one and small group settings
- Consult and collaborate with educational staff and families regarding student progress and carryover strategies
- Maintain accurate records and thorough progress documentation
- Participate in team meetings, contributing your insights to student support plans
- Provide guidance or mentorship to SLPA and SLP CF candidates as appropriate
