We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in North Carolina. This is an excellent opportunity for an educator who is passionate about supporting students with diverse learning needs and is open to traveling for work assignments.
Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction, develop and implement educational plans, and support students in achieving their academic, behavioral, and developmental goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Provide specialized instruction tailored to students' individual learning needs.
Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, therapists, and families.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable special education regulations.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
Support students with academic, behavioral, social, and developmental needs.
Qualifications
Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education, or eligibility to obtain one.
Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting preferred.
Knowledge of IEP development, special education regulations, and differentiated instruction.
Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
Willingness to travel for assignments within North Carolina.
