Elementary Special Ed Teacher - Leominster, Massachusetts

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity awaits an experienced Special Education Teacher to support young learners in grades 1st and 2nd within a self-contained classroom designed for students with Emotional Disabilities. This full-time, contract position is based in Leominster, MA, and runs from ASAP through the remainder of the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
• Create a supportive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including counselors, therapists, and other educators to enhance student outcomes.
• Monitor progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet educational goals.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with families regarding student development and classroom activities.
• Employ positive behavioral interventions and supports to address emotional challenges effectively.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
• Experience teaching elementary-level students, preferably in a self-contained setting.
• Strong understanding of strategies for supporting students with Emotional Disabilities.
• Excellent classroom management skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively with educational staff and families.

Location: Leominster, Massachusetts
Schedule: Full-time, following the school calendar for the remainder of the current academic year.
