A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) servicing K-12 students in Everett, WA. This itinerant role involves supporting approximately 20-35 elementary and secondary students, providing specialized instruction and resources to enhance their educational experience. The position currently offers a .6 FTE schedule (three days per week) with potential flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support to deaf and hard of hearing students across multiple school campuses.
- Coordinate services and interventions in collaboration with school staff and families.
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
- Utilize an office space in the administrative building while traveling regularly to different campuses.
- Facilitate communication access and promote inclusive educational practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid DHH teaching license and Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification are required.
- Experience working with K-12 deaf and hard of hearing students in an itinerant capacity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 20-35 students and organize work across multiple locations.
Location:Everett, Washington services provided onsite across various school campuses within the district.
