Role Description
Pro Wrestling Symphony is a Nashville-based live events promotion, bringing together professional wrestling and live music for monthly events at various venues around Music City. As we aim to further establish ourselves as a pillar of Nashville’s entertainment scene, we are looking for a Partnership Coordinator who can generate and manage sponsorship and corporate partnerships with local, regional and national businesses. The candidate will need to work independently and within a group in a high-paced work environment. They should be able to multitask efficiently while delivering high-quality output with a superior attention to detail.
This is a contracted sales position with compensation based on commission. The position will be responsible for achieving measurable financial results.
Duties
- Generating significant new business in sponsorship sales. Proactively prospect and secure new and repeat business through calls, emails, direct messages and networking.
- Assist in the execution of sponsorship activations.
- Maintain meaningful business relationships with existing and potential sponsors.
- Negotiate rates/deals on sponsorship bundles with potential clients and PWS ownership.
- Work within regulations and guidelines of any given event. Awareness of the complexities of live events and venue restrictions is key.
- Identify strategic needs from current partners that could lead to upsells within existing deals.
- Analyze specific marketing needs of prospects based on partner objectives, market strategies, category potential, activation potential and financials.
- Effectively present proposals in front of individuals and large groups.
- Communicate effectively across all departments within the organization.
Qualifications
- A high degree of initiative, confidence, and energy to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and stage multiple projects efficiently
- Ability to work events outside of standard business hours, local travel required
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and creative oral/written communication skills
- Knowledge of Nashville’s local business landscape
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Proven track record of developing and managing highly strategic corporate partnerships
- Strong professional relationship skills; able to establish and maintain long-term strategic relationships with corporate clients and coworkers.
- Must be a skilled negotiator with the ability to effectively represent the values of Pro Wrestling Symphony
- Outgoing, ambitious personality with experience as a skilled presenter and storyteller
- Knowledge of the professional wrestling industry is not mandatory, but is a plus
