We are seeking a highly vigilant and proactive Armed Security Officer to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across various premises by implementing comprehensive security measures. Your expertise in surveillance, law enforcement procedures, and emergency response will ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises using CCTV systems, access control systems, and physical patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Perform thorough background checks on visitors, contractors, and vendors to verify identity and authorization before granting access.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations by executing established emergency response procedures, including fire safety, first aid, CPR, AED operation, and incident management.
• Manage access control points efficiently by verifying credentials, operating security equipment such as Taser devices and firearms where permitted, and ensuring only authorized personnel enter restricted areas.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy for future reference and legal compliance.
• De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques while maintaining a calm demeanor to ensure safety for all parties involved.
• Support heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when required to assist with security equipment or emergency situations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a strong understanding of physical security practices.
• Valid certification in firearm handling, Taser use, CPR, AED operation, and first aid; additional certifications such as CCTV surveillance or conflict de-escalation are advantageous.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control systems; ability to perform routine patrolling using these tools effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and interact professionally with diverse individuals.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, heavy lifting, manual handling, and responding swiftly during emergencies.
• Familiarity with compliance standards related to security regulations and emergency procedures.
• Strong conflict management skills coupled with a customer service-oriented mindset to handle challenging situations tactfully.

Pay: $17.50 - $20.00 per hour
