Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Unarmed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting surveillance, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrolling and incident management. Your presence will help foster a safe atmosphere while providing excellent customer service to all who enter the facility. Duties

• Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity within the premises and identify potential security threats.
• Control access points using access control systems, verifying identities and authorizations of employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter unauthorized activity, perform physical security checks, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Respond swiftly to incidents or emergencies by executing appropriate procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, or fire safety measures.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any suspicious activity, accidents, or security breaches for future reference and compliance purposes.
• Assist with performing background checks on new personnel or vendors as part of security clearance processes.
• Engage in conflict de-escalation techniques to manage disputes calmly and professionally while maintaining a safe environment.

Requirements

• Active TN Security Guard License
• Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement, or related fields is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of surveillance technology, CCTV operation, access control systems, and manual handling techniques.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED (Automated External Defibrillator) operation, and fire safety is desirable.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and conduct physical security tasks such as patrolling and manual handling.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear incident reports and manage conflict effectively.
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential.
• Capable of performing background checks and screening processes as required by the organization’s security protocols.
• Demonstrated customer service skills to interact professionally with visitors and staff while maintaining a secure environment.
