Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the parking lot using CCTV surveillance and physical inspections to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
• Manage access control systems to verify authorized entry for visitors, staff, and contractors
• Respond promptly to emergency situations following established procedures including fire alarms, medical emergencies, or security breaches
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any unusual activity, accidents, or security concerns with clarity and accuracy
• Perform background checks on new personnel or vendors as part of the onboarding process
• Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where legally permitted), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR when necessary
• Enforce parking regulations and assist customers with inquiries while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during investigations or incidents requiring legal intervention
• Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when necessary for equipment or supplies management
• Follow all compliance regulations related to physical security, emergency response procedures, and confidentiality standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields is highly desirable
• Knowledge of CCTV operation, access control systems, incident report writing, and surveillance techniques
• Certification in first aid, CPR/AED operation is required; additional certifications such as Taser use or firearm handling are advantageous
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely and effectively
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations calmly and professionally
• Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude towards visitors and team members
• Familiarity with emergency response procedures including fire safety protocols and medical assistance techniques
• Ability to maintain alertness during long shifts while adhering to all security regulations and policies

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
