Property Audio Visual Technician – Hospitality
Job description:
The In-House Audio Visual (AV) Technician is responsible for supporting the audiovisual needs of events hosted at assigned venue. This includes setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment for corporate meetings, conferences, banquets, and other live events. As the on-site AV representative for Pro AV, the technician will work closely with venue staff, clients, and event planners to ensure high-quality AV support and seamless event execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurate timely setup, operation, and breakdown of intermediate audio video equipment.
- Provide technical support to clients before and during events, ensuring all AV needs are met.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve in a timely manner.
- Oversee and assist outside hired labor in the set-up and tear down of audio visual equipment and sets.
- Thorough knowledge of audio-visual equipment
- Attention to detail, commitment to quality and results driven.
- Work closely with project managers, clients, and other team members to execute events successfully.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within the team.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Polished appearance and demeanor.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to obtain & maintain full knowledge and understanding of company and department rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Understand company QC procedures to help in the warehouse and maintain equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- 3 years of customer service or hospitality or staging experience is preferred.
- 3 years of audio visual experience is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required for team members in positions that may operate Company vehicles.
Physical: Able to lift 50 lbs. or more based on average equipment weight
Work Location: Venue in Riverside with 25% travel to corporate warehouse in La Verne
