Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as a Pool Route Technician, where you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing residential and commercial swimming pools to ensure optimal safety, cleanliness, and performance. This role offers an energetic environment focused on delivering exceptional customer service while performing routine inspections, repairs, and water chemistry balancing. As a vital part of our aquatic maintenance team, you’ll operate company vehicles, handle water treatment chemicals safely, and troubleshoot pool equipment to keep pools in top condition.
Duties
- Conduct regular pool inspections to assess water quality, equipment functionality, and overall cleanliness.
- Balance pool chemistry by adding chemicals such as chlorine, pH adjusters, algaecides, and other treatment agents following safety protocols.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including skimming debris, vacuuming pools, brushing surfaces, and cleaning filters to maintain pristine conditions.
- Troubleshoot and repair pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and plumbing systems using hand tools and power tools.
- Operate company vehicles responsibly to travel between customer locations efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
- Maintain detailed service logs documenting work performed, chemical levels, repairs made, and customer interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about maintenance needs and answering questions professionally.
Requirements
- Proven experience with pool maintenance, aquatic facility operations or water treatment chemical handling is highly preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pool plumbing systems and equipment troubleshooting is essential.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while balancing pool chemistry accurately.
- Strong outdoor work experience with the physical stamina to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with pool cleaning techniques and equipment repair using hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles responsibly.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proactive attitude toward client satisfaction.
- Knowledge of water treatment chemicals and safety procedures related to chemical handling is required.
