Job Description
I am seeking reliable, experienced pet sitters to provide ongoing weekend care for my two dogs while I'm at work. This is a contract, non-exclusive role, and I will be working with multiple sitters to ensure consistent coverage.
I work as a mobile vet supervisor, and my schedule often changes last-minute. Shifts can occasionally extend later than planned or require me to stay in a hotel. As a result, this role requires candidates to be open to late-night visits when needed.
Care needed includes: feeding, walking, providing attention, and other basic care tasks as outlined in the written care plan. This is a great fit for dog lovers looking for some extra spending money that are comfortable providing calm, structured care in a client's home.
Responsibilities
- Generally available to provide care as needed on Saturdays and Sundays, with the occasional weekday request
- Follow a written care plan covering feeding, routines, safety, and basic behavior guidance (no advanced medical procedures required)
- Take dogs for a walk
- Generally available to provide late-night visits (no overnight stay required)
- Communicate clearly and reliably regarding availability and care updates
Schedule and Flexibility
- Visit timing is flexible within listed time frames and at the sitter's discretion
- Same-day cancellations may occur, in which case services will not be needed
- Sitters may accept or decline scheduling requests based on availability
- Multiple independent contractors will be contacted to ensure coverage
Ideal Candidate
- Has prior experience caring for dogs (professional or extensive personal experience)
- Comfortable following structured care and training plans
- Calm, dependable, and confident handling dogs independently
- Communicates promptly and professionally
- Generally open to late-night and last-minute requests
Important Notes
- This is an independent contractor position
- This role is non-exclusive; sitters may have other clients
- No overnight stays required
- Paid per visit (not hourly)

- Final candidates may be asked to provide authorization for a background check and/or reference verification prior to starting services
