House Manager/Family Assistant Wanted
Location: Keystone Area, Odessa, Florida
Schedule: Monday–Friday, Part-time, 8 AM - 11 AM (or 9 AM - 12 PM)
Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience
We are a warm, professional family of six seeking a trustworthy and detail-oriented House Manager to help keep our household running smoothly. Our ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and takes pride in maintaining a beautiful, well-functioning home. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys variety and understands the rhythms of a busy family household.
Responsibilities
- Household Care: Perform both light and deep cleaning, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, tidying, making beds, doing laundry, washing dishes, cleaning windows, sweeping porches, using a blower in the driveway, etc.
- Organization: Maintain order in all living spaces, closets, and cabinets; manage household inventory; and ensure everything has its proper place. Able to put clothes away in the right closet/space.
- Errands & Shopping: Sometimes go shopping (Costco membership provided), restock household supplies, and ensure the kitchen and pantry are organized and well-stocked.
- Meal Support: Rarely assist with light meal prep such as washing produce, prepping lunches, or simple family meals.
- Pet Care: Provide occasional care for our friendly Standard Poodle, including feeding, refreshing water, and letting him out before leaving for the day.
- Travel Assistance: Help with packing and unpacking suitcases.
- Home Maintenance Coordination: Handle small tasks such as changing light bulbs or air filters and liaise with vendors or service providers as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a private household, hospitality, or similar environment
- Values cleanliness and leaves no stone unturned
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Reliable, punctual, and discreet
- Comfortable around children and pets
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Schedule & Environment
We prefer someone who can work Monday through Friday for several hours each day. The role offers a respectful, family-oriented work environment where reliability, initiative, and trust are valued.
