Private Chef | Woodside, CAA family in Woodside, CA is seeking an excellent Private Chef to prepare weekday meals for a family of four (two adults and two children under 5). No private chef experience required and recent industry experience at a high level - Chef de Cuisine or Executive Chef - strongly preferred. Dinners only, competitive salary, full healthcare benefits. Open to candidates locally and out of state. Must be a non-smoker, able to pass an in-depth background check, and provide excellent professional references.Position OverviewThe family prioritizes flavorful, ingredient-driven, fresh food. The ideal chef is someone who is comfortable cooking an extensive range of cuisines (Mediterranean, Mexican, Japanese, etc.), creative and passionate about food, and has deep experience in every aspect of food creation, from pickling to pasta making to menu creation. Some household members are vegetarian and chef should be familiar with cooking protein-rich vegetarian cuisine.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve weekday dinnersCreate varied, creative menus for each week that cover a variety of cuisinesProvide healthy snacks and fresh fruits for the homeCook with fresh, whole ingredients Incorporate vegetable-heavy, high-protein dishesPrepare meals for occasional small events or gatheringsMaintain a well-organized kitchen and handle all grocery purchasingWork independently and communicate clearly about preferences and schedulingScheduleFive days per week; Monday through Friday8 hours per shift, typically daytimeChef prepares dinner for the day, serves, does final clean, then departs.
