Job Overview
A private family is seeking an experienced and highly organized House Manager & Nanny to support their household, care for their 12-year-old child, and assist with four dogs. This role combines childcare, household management, and personal assistant duties.
The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
Childcare:
- School pick-ups/drop-offs (2–3 times per week)
- Assistance in managing and coordinating child’s schedule, activities, and appointments
- Assistance in transporting to extracurricular activities and events
- Monitor and manage school communications (apps, emails, calendars)
- Provide childcare for weekly date nights
- Provide extended childcare during parent travel (approx. once/month)
Pet Care:
- Feed and exercise four dogs daily
- Schedule and attend veterinary appointments
- Administer medications as needed
Household Management:
- Oversee daily household operations
- Grocery shopping and meal preparation (healthy meals)
- Laundry and home organization
- Run errands (returns, shopping, etc.)
- Collect mail and manage deliveries
- Meet & coordinate with vendors (cleaning services, lawn care, pool maintenance, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the home
- Ensure home is fully maintained during family travel
Administrative Support:
- Collaborate with executive assistant on schedules and travel coordination
- Maintain calendars and ensure no scheduling conflicts
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a House Manager, Nanny, or similar role
- Experience in high-functioning or private households
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and time management
- Comfortable managing a busy household independently
- Tech-savvy (comfortable with apps, scheduling tools, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Comfortable with pets (dogs)
- Ability to pass a background check
