A fast-growing, technology-driven healthcare organization is seeking a Provider Support Specialist to support its provider-facing operations team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong healthcare and claims background who is comfortable handling high-volume inbound calls and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and experienced in navigating complex provider inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound calls from healthcare providers and front desk staff at medical offices
- Respond to and resolve inquiries related to claims status, eligibility, benefits, and billing
- Leverage knowledge of medical terminology, claims processing, and healthcare operations to provide accurate and timely information
- Research and resolve complex issues by navigating multiple internal systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams (claims, operations, client services)
- Interpret plan documents, EOBs, and benefits structures to effectively support provider needs
- Document all interactions and resolutions thoroughly within internal systems
- Maintain composure and professionalism while handling escalated or high-pressure interactions
- Identify trends and escalate recurring issues or process gaps to leadership
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and internal data privacy standards
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in healthcare support, provider services, or claims-related roles
- Prior experience in a medical office setting (e.g., front desk, provider office support) or as a claims processor strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of medical claims, benefits, EOBs, and healthcare administrative processes
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations
- Experience handling high-volume inbound calls in a professional environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple systems and learning new tools quickly
- Experience supporting providers within self-funded plans, TPAs, or health tech environments (preferred)
