2nd Shift Production Associates

Shifts/Pay:

• Monday – Friday
• Possible overtime on Saturdays
• 2 pm – 10:30 pm
• $21.00/hour

We are looking for a dependable Production Associates to support daily food manufacturing operations. This role involves handling ingredients, operating and monitoring production equipment, completing product checks, and maintaining a clean and safe production environment. The right candidate is comfortable working on their feet, following detailed procedures, and working as part of a team in a fast-paced food production setting.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and stage bulk ingredients for production, including organizing, weighing, scanning, verifying, and loading materials.
• Assist with mixing, filling, packaging, labeling, and other production processes as assigned.
• Monitor equipment and production activities to ensure products are being processed correctly.
• Perform routine checks on scales, shortening, sifter screens, tailings, and other production components.
• Break down, assemble, and prepare equipment for production runs and cleaning activities.
• Complete required cleaning and sanitation of food-contact equipment and surrounding work areas.
• Follow GMP, food safety, and workplace safety procedures throughout the shift.
• Complete pre-operation inspections, equipment checklists, batch counts, and other production records accurately.
• Keep machinery, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and ready for use.
• Report equipment problems, product or quality concerns, food safety issues, and workplace hazards to the Shift Lead promptly.
• Work independently when assigned while also supporting team members to meet production goals.
• Operate a forklift when qualified; training and certification may be provided.
• Perform other production and sanitation duties as needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to read and understand work instructions, procedures, and other documents.
• Ability to complete basic written documentation and routine reports.
• Comfortable performing basic math using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn production-related systems.
• Previous experience working with GMPs, food safety, or industrial safety programs is preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus; must be willing and able to become certified.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
• Dependable team player who can also work effectively with minimal supervision.
• Ability to identify and communicate production, quality, equipment, and safety concerns.

Physical & Work Environment

• Must be able to regularly stand, walk, and use hands to grasp, handle, and operate tools, equipment, and controls.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. and frequently handle materials weighing 25 lbs.
• Regularly perform activities such as climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
• Work in a manufacturing environment where temperatures may be hot or cold and equipment may create elevated noise levels.
• Exposure to flour and sugar dust, steam, and food-processing environments.
• Frequent use of stairs, including approximately one flight of stairs up and down 30 times per shift.
• Must be able to work around potential food allergens, including peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, wheat, soy, seafood, and shellfish.
