Are you an experienced Foodservice Designer passionate about creating highly functional and code-compliant commercial kitchens? We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to develop precise blueprints and equipment schedules for restaurant and convenience-store projects, driving operational efficiency for our clients in the Nashville market.
What You Will Design and Develop:
- Complete Kitchen Layouts: Create detailed commercial kitchen, prep, service line, and storage area layouts using AutoCAD (or similar design software).
- Workflow Optimization: Design functional workflows that maximize efficiency, safety, and operational flow, integrating customer menu, operational style, and brand standards.
- Technical Documentation: Produce accurate MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) rough-in drawings, floor plans, elevations, and final construction documents suitable for permits and installation.
- Detailed Specifications: Develop precise equipment schedules including model numbers, utility requirements, spec sheets, and installation needs, coordinating closely with manufacturers.
- Compliance: Ensure all designs strictly adhere to health, safety, ADA, mechanical, and building code requirements.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience: 2β5 years of experience in commercial kitchen design, hospitality design, or architectural drafting.
- Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, utility requirements, and the ability to read and create construction documents and utility drawings.
- Collaboration Skills: Proven ability to communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly with Sales, Operations, Project Managers, and customers.
- Detail Orientation: Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring technical accuracy in all measurements, specifications, and utility data.
- Preferred: Familiarity with NSF standards, ADA guidelines, and local health regulations is a plus.
Compensation:
- Target Earnings: Highly competitive compensation range of $90,000 β $110,000 (inclusive of base salary and potential bonuses/commissions), depending on experience and expertise.
