Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Valve Service & Repair Technician to support both in-shop operations and field service projects. This role involves inspecting, repairing, testing, and maintaining industrial valves and related equipment used in oil & gas and other industrial environments. Candidates should be comfortable working in a hands-on setting and traveling to customer locations as needed.
Travel: Up to 50% (local and overnight travel may be required)
Primary Duties
- Disassemble, inspect, clean, and repair industrial valves, actuators, and associated components.
- Identify mechanical issues including leaks, corrosion, wear, and operational failures.
- Perform valve reassembly and conduct pressure, seat leak, and functional testing to verify performance.
- Complete service reports detailing inspections, repairs, testing procedures, and recommendations.
- Travel to customer facilities to perform field repairs, troubleshooting, installations, and equipment start-up support.
- Follow company safety procedures and industry quality standards at all times.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience servicing, rebuilding, or maintaining industrial valves.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance manuals.
- Familiarity with pressure testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to valve maintenance and repair.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a TWIC card.
- Must be able to participate in the DISA Random Testing Program (RTP).
- Ability to travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight assignments.
- Comfortable working in shop environments as well as outdoor industrial job sites.
