The Prince George’s County Police Department is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Human Resources Assistant 3P, grade P17 position, in the Police Personnel Division.
About The Position
This is the senior/lead performance level of paraprofessional human resources administrative work designed to assist professional level human resources analysts within the Police department. Work assignments require a comprehensive knowledge of Personnel Law; departmental rules, regulations, and ordinances; the ability to communicate well with others; and a high degree of independent judgment, action, and initiative. The incumbent treats all personal, personnel, and personnel-related matters as strictly confidential. The incumbent in this position is authorized to carry out those duties and responsibilities in accordance with the established performance standards and is subject to reporting and justifying task outcomes to those above him/her in the department’s chain of command. The incumbent will be required to work occasional weekend assignments.

General Plan Information
The Prince George’s County benefits plan year is from January 1 to December 31.
A spouse (to include a same sex spouse) can be added to the health benefit plans. A marriage certificate and social security number is required to add a spouse.
Children under the age of 26 are eligible for coverage under the health benefit plans. This includes stepchildren and children of the same-sex spouse. A birth certificate(s) and social security number(s) is required to add a child(ren). Minimum Qualifications
