IP Client Administrator – Patent Prosecution (High-Volume)

Role

This role is for a seasoned patent prosecution administrator who thrives at high volume and wants to own a major client relationship directly. Candidates must:

• Have 3–6 years of hands-on U.S. patent prosecution filing experience
• Be comfortable processing 10–15 filings per day as a normal pace
• Be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (role is subject to export control)
• 2 Days in Office or Fully Remote
  
  

This is NOT for candidates with only docketing or clerical experience — hands-on filing is required. Candidates from high-volume IP boutiques (Fish & Richardson, Finnegan, Sterne Kessler) or BigLaw IP groups are especially well-positioned.

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and file USPTO documents at high volume: office action responses, IDS submissions, issue fee payments, RCEs, PCT national stage entries, continuations, and divisionals
• Serve as a direct liaison with one of the firm's largest clients — managing expectations, deadlines, and workflow without attorney intermediaries
• Manage practitioner dockets and maintain the integrity of electronic data and client IP files
• Collaborate with the client to develop and improve SOPs, reference materials, and workflow processes
• Train firm personnel on client-specific procedures and mentor junior team members
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 3–6 years of hands-on U.S. patent prosecution filing experience (not just docketing)
• Comfortable at 10–15 filings per day — volume capacity is the top qualifier
• Background at a high-volume IP boutique or BigLaw IP group strongly preferred
• Strong client-service orientation; able to manage direct client relationships with professionalism and calm
• Self-starter who can operate independently while functioning as part of a coordinated team
