Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney (Borrower-Side / Acquisitions / Joint Ventures) – 4–15 Years
Locations: New York, NY; Remote (U.S.-based)
Compensation: $140,000 – $500,000
Work Model: Hybrid (3 days in office) or Remote for senior attorneys
Bar Admission: Active bar admission required

This is a law firm attorney role focused on borrower-side commercial real estate transactions.
Candidates Must
Be a licensed attorney (JD required)
Have 4–15 years of commercial real estate transactional experience
Have experience independently running borrower-side deals from start to finish
Have strong drafting and negotiation experience with purchase agreements and joint venture documents
This Role Is Not Suitable For
Real estate litigators
Lender-side only attorneys without borrower-side transactional experience
Candidates without direct deal management or client-facing responsibility
About The Opportunity
We are working with a law firm seeking a Commercial Real Estate Finance Attorney to support a growing borrower-side transactional practice. This role offers substantial autonomy, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to manage sophisticated acquisitions, financings, and joint venture matters for private investors, developers, and REITs.
What You’ll Be Doing
Represent borrowers, developers, and private investors in acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of commercial real estate assets
Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, and transactional documents
Run transactions from inception through closing as the primary client contact
Structure and negotiate creative solutions for sophisticated private clients
Manage multiple active transactions simultaneously in a collaborative environment
What We’re Looking For
4–15 years of borrower-side commercial real estate transactional experience
Ability to independently manage complex deals from start to finish
Strong drafting and negotiation skills
Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort with direct client interaction
Strong organizational and deal management abilities
Nice to Have
Experience representing developers, REITs, or private equity real estate clients
Experience with sophisticated or non-standard financing structures
Interest in helping grow and shape a transactional practice
