Position Summary
We are looking for a
detail-oriented and self-motivated Senior Loan Operations Specialist
to join our Shakopee team. In this role, you will be a key partner to our Commercial Lenders, ensuring the seamless processing of loans across our consumer, commercial, and mortgage portfolios.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent organizational skills and a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and top-tier customer service. You will be responsible for a wide range of loan-related tasks, including leading by example and guiding junior team members.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare loan documentation for commercial and consumer loans in accordance with regulations and bank policy.
- Book and fund new and renewed loans in core and imaging systems.
- Record liens and perfect collateral with appropriate agencies; ensure insurance requirements are met.
- Process loan fees and maintain accurate general ledger entries.
- Track and manage post-closing items and documentation exceptions via the tickler system.
- Maintain organized loan and collateral files.
- Ensure compliance with AML/BSA, OFAC, CIP, and Identity Theft regulations.
- Participate in loan due diligence meetings.
- Lead by example in supporting and guiding loan administration team members.
- Handle administrative tasks including document distribution, reporting, and collateral vault maintenance.
- Prepare documentation for participation, letters of credit, and CRA/Beneficial Ownership compliance.
- Rotate department responsibilities, including email inbox and document request monitoring.

Required Qualifications
- Experience:
3–5 years of loan processing experience across commercial, consumer, and mortgage lending. - Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications. - Attention to Detail:
High attention to detail and accuracy. - Loan Knowledge:
Working knowledge of credit documentation, including UCC-1 filings, and vehicle liens. - Education:
Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with
Fiserv
and
LaserPro
systems. - Strong organizational skills and experience managing a tickler system.
- Bachelor's degree.
