The Commercial Loan Operations Specialist is primarily responsible for preparing the loan documents and processing the loan transactions required to support commercial loan activity and the bank’s loan portfolio.
Loan Documentation and Processing
This position requires travel to support business needs, including team collaboration, internal trainings, and cross-functional initiatives. The frequency and duration of travel will vary based on organizational priorities and team needs.

The Commercial Loan Operations Specialist is primarily responsible for preparing the loan documents and processing the loan transactions required to support commercial loan activity and the bank’s loan portfolio.
Loan Documentation and Processing
- Process loan documents timely and accurately in accordance with Choice Financial, federal and state laws requirements.
- Inputs loan information onto the core system to accurately reflect executed loan documents.
- Processes all miscellaneous updates to loans in the core system, including updates to payment options, payment schedules, statement delivery options, escrow addendums, etc.
- Compiles data for and completes the HMDA-LAR in established timelines.
- Updates commercial loan interest rate matrix and completes daily rate spec changes in core system.
- Processes loan payments daily.
- Tracks and ensures that all mid-term rate changes are executed on the core system for applicable loans.
- Supports, advances and is responsible for meeting Premier Experience service standards.
- Assist with completing special projects and assignments as required by department leadership
- Actively participate in internal and external continuing education for commercial loan operations and leadership
- Contain knowledge of company products and services
- Have a working knowledge of Choice Financials policies and procedures and comply with them
- Maintain complete confidentiality with regards to customer accounts, loans and bank relationships
- Project a positive image of Choice Financial when representing the organization
- Actively support management and organizational goals
- Interact with other employees to promote teamwork, communications, trust and respect
- Adapt to meet the ever-changing customer and community needs

- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
- One to two years of financial or banking experience preferred
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures necessary to perform the functions of the job.
- Assists with departmental projects.
- Performs assigned duties within the department.
- Understands and utilizes Loan Operating Systems.
- Works under regular supervision.
- Limited to specific duties within the department.
