Job Title: Medical Administration Specialist (Medical Credentialing Specialist)
Location: Soldier Readiness Processing Center (SRP), William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC), 18511 Highlander Medics St, Fort Bliss, TX 79906, and outlying clinics.
Tentative Start Date: 1 April 2026
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 0500-1630 (SRP operational hours). Up to 48 mission-driven overage hours per FTE may be required annually beyond regularly scheduled duty hours, as authorized by the Government.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business, information management, or a related medical discipline is required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience within the last two (2) years performing medical credentialing, privileging, or medical staff administration functions in a hospital, clinic, or military medical treatment facility.
- At least 50% of the time was spent focused on verifying and maintaining the credentials of licensed, registered, and/or certified medical personnel, including but not limited to physicians, advanced practice registered nurses, physician assistants, therapists, etc.
- Experience assembling, reviewing, and processing credentialing and privileging packets, including verification of licenses, education, training, work history, and references.
- Experience tracking credentialing actions and timelines to ensure providers are cleared prior to performing clinical duties.
- License / Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross) required.
- Other Requirements: U.S. Citizenship required.
- Support Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) operations by managing medical credentialing and privileging actions for healthcare providers supporting mobilization, demobilization, redeployment, and separation missions.
- Assemble, review, and process credentialing and privileging packets for providers to ensure completeness and compliance with MTF and DHA requirements.
- Verify provider credentials, including licenses, education, training, board status, work history, and references, using approved primary source verification methods.
- Track credentialing and privileging actions to ensure providers are approved prior to assignment to SRP clinical duties.
- Coordinate with providers, supervisors, and credentialing committees to resolve missing or incomplete credentialing documentation.
- Maintain accurate credentialing records and files in Government-designated credentialing systems.
- Monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and privileges and initiate renewal actions as required.
- Support surge onboarding activities during high-volume MOB/DEMOB cycles by prioritizing credentialing actions tied to mission requirements.
- Document credentialing actions and status updates in accordance with MTF administrative procedures.
