Role Description We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Leasing Agent to join our growing property management team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or grow a career in property management, real estate, sales, or customer service. The Leasing Agent serves as the first point of contact for prospective and current residents, helping prospective residents find their ideal home while delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive leasing experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet prospective residents and conduct property tours, highlighting community features, amenities, and available units.
- Guide applicants through the leasing process from initial inquiry through move-in.
- Collect rental applications, verify required documentation, process credit and background screenings, and submit completed applications for management approval.
- Prepare lease agreements, addendums, and related documents, and explain standard lease terms and community policies to prospective residents.
- Maintain accurate tenant, prospect, and leasing records using AppFolio property management software.
- Coordinate move-ins and work closely with maintenance staff to ensure units are move-in ready and presentable for showings.
- Respond promptly and professionally to phone calls, emails, online inquiries, and resident requests.
- Address resident concerns and service requests professionally while maintaining positive resident relationships.
- Support occupancy goals by promoting community amenities and services.
- Promote community amenities, services, and available units to maximize occupancy.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, record management, and document preparation.
- Collaborate with the property management team to support daily operations and resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, and Calendar), with the ability and willingness to learn AppFolio and other property management software.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic office and administrative experience, including data entry and filing.
- Experience in customer service, sales, leasing support, hospitality, or property management is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to maintain professionalism and build positive relationships with residents, prospects, vendors, and team members.
- Knowledge of property maintenance or facilities management is helpful but not required.
- Spanish-speaking ability preferred.
