Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Scientific - Technician II - 4 day (M-Th) Overnights with a multinational science and technology company in Coralville, IA. This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay: $22.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 9:00pm-7:30am (3rd shift)
Description:
The Technician II role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality products by perform-ing essential manufacturing activities - including decontamination, material transfer, and equipment operation - in strict alignment with SOPs, work instructions, and customer-specific requirements.
You will also contribute to operational excellence by lever-aging daily management practices to assess process performance, identify data-driven im-provements, and recommend effective countermeasures that strengthen overall productivity and quality.
- Sets up and operates automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
- Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
- Follows engineering drawings, work order information,
- Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process. Installs, modifies, moves, troubleshoots, repairs and dismantles machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.
- Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
- Assembles mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment.
- Includes Machine Operator, Process Operations, Product Assembly, and Production Technician roles.
- Perform lab cleaning and decontamination protocols in accordance with work instructions and Maintenance Connection software
- An associate degree in a science related field and at least two years of lab ex-perience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in a variety of PC software programs with strong working knowl-edge of Microsoft Office
- It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- A bachelor's degree
- Life Science work experience.
