Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a
Payroll Specialist (Mid Level)
with a multinational science and technology company in Brea, CA. This is a 2-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:
$ $29.00/hr
; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Must come onsite to one of the following:
Brea, CA, Hebron, KY, or Clevland, OH.
Description:
The Payroll Administrator I will have the following responsibilities: Limited scope of work assigned to a small work area. Work will largely center around correct data entry. Support to the rest of the Pay & Benefits delivery team.
Position Overview:
The Payroll Administrator will support the Pay & Benefits delivery team with a limited scope of work focused primarily on accurate data entry and administrative payroll support. This role will be responsible for processing payroll-related information within a defined work area and ensuring data accuracy across payroll systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate payroll data entry in designated systems
- Support day-to-day payroll administration tasks within a small, defined work area
- Assist the Pay & Benefits delivery team with payroll-related operational support
- Review payroll data for accuracy and completeness
- Help maintain payroll records and documentation
- Follow established payroll processes, controls, and compliance guidelines
- Escalate discrepancies or data issues to senior payroll team members as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 2-5 years of prior experience in payroll administration
- Excel skills (must be able to do Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.)
- Hit the ground running, thick skin and ready to work.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to follow standardized processes and procedures
- Comfortable working with confidential employee data
- Basic proficiency in payroll systems and/or HRIS platforms
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant Discipline
- Experience with ADP (what we use)
- 6-10 years of payroll administration experience
- Experience in a regulated or corporate environment
- Familiarity with payroll or pay & benefits functions
- Experience supporting a shared services or delivery team
