Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Supply Chain Operations Coordinator to support a prestigious client in the supply chain and distribution industry. This role is with a large, nationally operating organization seeking to enhance efficiency across its logistics and transportation functions. You will play a key part in coordinating daily operations, ensuring shipment accuracy, and maintaining smooth communication between service providers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily supply chain and logistics operations to ensure consistent workflow execution.
- Organize and manage documentation related to customer requirements, service providers, production, and transportation activities.
- Ensure safe, accurate, and timely pickup and delivery of shipments across multiple channels.
- Review, prepare, and route purchase orders, bills of lading, and other operational documents.
- Monitor shipment status, transportation costs, delivery timelines, and operational productivity metrics.
- Respond to customer inquiries with timely updates and resolution support.
- Address and resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, and inventory-related issues.
- Track and manage key performance indicators to support operational efficiency and reporting accuracy.
- Analyze and optimize logistics processes to improve service quality and reduce operational friction.
- Support business development and supply chain leadership teams with operational insights.
- Proactively track customer and service provider needs to anticipate demand fluctuations.
- Monitor and evaluate service provider performance and address service gaps.
- Support minor pricing discussions and adjustments with service providers when required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within internal logistics systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation coordination, or supply chain operations preferred.
- Experience in customer service or account management within a logistics environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of transportation regulations and ISO standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics or transportation management systems.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and operational workflow tools.
- Strong understanding of shipment documentation, including bills of lading and purchase orders.
- Experience analyzing operational data and preparing executive-level reports.
- Ability to interpret logistics metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards.
- Knowledge of routing, scheduling, and freight coordination processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail in operational data handling.
