Primary Services is actively recruiting for a Supply Chain Director to support an established client in the energy, oil and gas, and manufacturing industry. This senior leadership role provides strategic direction for end-to-end supply chain operations, developing and executing initiatives that align business objectives with key performance indicators. The Supply Chain Director will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to strengthen operational performance, optimize costs, and support continued organizational growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end supply chain operations across multiple sites, including procurement, inventory management, vendor selection, and distribution.
- Develop and execute strategic supply chain plans aligned with business objectives, operational priorities, and performance KPIs.
- Establish and oversee supply chain policies, procedures, and operational standards to drive consistency and performance.
- Lead vendor and supplier negotiations to optimize pricing, contracts, service terms, and overall value.
- Leverage data analytics and performance monitoring tools to evaluate historical trends and forecast supply and demand requirements.
- Oversee inventory planning and distribution strategies to optimize stock levels, service performance, and operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce costs, increase efficiency, and strengthen supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, sales, and manufacturing leadership to align supply chain priorities with broader business objectives.
- Ensure supply chain activities comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
- Monitor key supply chain metrics and deliver performance reporting and strategic insights to executive leadership.
- Manage supply chain budgets and identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency across operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field required.
- 5 years of progressive managerial experience in supply chain or operations leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing a supply chain sub-function within a broader operational structure.
- Energy, oil and gas, and/or manufacturing industry experience required.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, including procurement, inventory control, and distribution.
- Demonstrated experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Strong analytical and forecasting capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Experience developing and implementing strategic supply chain plans.
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement capabilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and drive cost efficiency.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Salary : $160,000 - $175,000
