Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Inventory Control Specialist for a large client organization seeking a dependable and detail-oriented professional to support internal mail and parcel operations. In this position, you will manage the flow of incoming and outgoing mail across a multi-facility environment, ensuring timely delivery, proper handling, and compliance with established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Responsibilities:
• Provide receipt, safe delivery, and processing of mail and parcels within assigned facilities.
• Sort incoming and inter-office mail and light parcels for delivery to designated recipients.
• Process outgoing parcels, pouch mail, and domestic and international shipments.
• Ensure mail is processed in accordance with applicable governing regulations and guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and updated address records associated with mail and parcel sorting systems.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully operational workstation at all times.
• Adhere to safety procedures while performing duties that involve walking, standing, and lifting materials.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in mailroom, logistics, shipping, or related operational support role.
• Strong understanding of mail processing systems and advanced operational procedures within a distribution environment.
• Ability to apply a broad range of competencies to develop solutions for complex processing and routing challenges.
• Experience providing technical or functional guidance within a department or operational setting.
• Capability to influence processes and support operational efficiency objectives.
• Familiarity with handling domestic and international shipping procedures and documentation requirements.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
