Primary Services is excited to announce the role of Financial Reporting Accountant for a leading international energy and services company. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior global leaders, including the President and CEO, while overseeing accounting processes and strategic reporting initiatives. You will serve as a key finance liaison between U.S. operations and international affiliates, ensuring timely reporting, compliance with U.S. GAAP, and seamless coordination with global shared service centers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes for multiple business units and entities.
- Prepare financial statements and accompanying footnotes under U.S. GAAP standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors on intercompany transfer pricing and compliance reviews.
- Analyze and interpret financial results, commentary, and performance trends for management reporting.
- Lead the accounting team on month-end close activities, journal entry review, and account reconciliations.
- Act as the primary point of contact with the global shared services team for accounting, reporting, and audit deliverables.
- Leverage SAP Template Light Harmonie to optimize financial data accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Support configuration changes, testing, and deployment of SAP accounting developments.
- Interface with business unit leaders, Treasury, Credit, Internal Control, and Tax departments to ensure compliance and timely execution of financial deliverables.
- Assist in developing and monitoring financial controls, risk management, and process improvements.
- Manage and mentor team members, ensuring effective onboarding and cross-training.
- Prepare and coordinate tax schedules and reports with internal and third-party service providers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, auditing, or corporate financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting principles.
- Proficiency in SAP required; experience with Template Light Harmonie highly preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and data analysis tools.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and consolidated reports.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional international teams.
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA designation preferred.
