As a Community Outreach Coordinator, you will play an important role in connecting patients and communities with the services and resources available through Primary Healthcare Centers.
Position Summary
The Community Outreach Coordinator supports community engagement efforts through social media management, content creation, website maintenance, Google account oversight, and outreach activities. This position works closely with clinic teams to capture and share the impact of our services, strengthen community relationships, and promote awareness of healthcare resources available throughout our service area.
This position combines community engagement, storytelling, and digital communication to help ensure patients and families are aware of the healthcare services and resources available to them.
This is primarily an in-person position that requires regular travel between clinic locations and attendance at community events. Occasional remote work may be required.
What You'll Do
- Connect community members with available healthcare services and resources.
- Strengthen relationships with community partners, schools, organizations, and local stakeholders.
- Promote health education and awareness throughout our service area.
- Develop and manage social media content across multiple platforms.
- Create engaging graphics, videos, newsletters, blogs, and other digital content.
- Visit clinic locations to capture photos, videos, employee highlights, and community stories.
- Maintain and update website content to ensure information remains current and accessible.
- Monitor and manage Google Business Profiles, online reviews, and community engagement.
- Attend health fairs, school events, community programs, and organizational initiatives.
- Collaborate with providers, leadership, and staff to highlight services and community impact.
- Track engagement and performance metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate with community partners, vendors, and external organizations to support outreach efforts.
- Stay informed on emerging trends and best practices in communications, social media, and community engagement.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel between clinic locations and attend community events.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience with social media management, digital content creation, graphic design, or communications.
- Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit organizations, or community-based programs.
- Experience managing websites, Google Business Profiles, and digital communication platforms.
