Patient Access Associate

We are hiring for a Patient Access Associate on behalf of a leading regional healthcare provider in Northern Virginia. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for incoming patients, delivering exceptional customer service while streamlining front-desk registration and administrative operations.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, rotating day shifts (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM start times through 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM end times)
Location: Onsite, Fairfax, VA area
Compensation: $17.72 – $21.27 per hour

Status: Temporary thru January

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming patients, verify demographic and insurance details, and accurately enter registration data into healthcare management systems.
• Provide a welcoming, supportive atmosphere for patients and family members, answering high-volume inquiries and directing visitors effectively.
• Utilize healthcare software and computer tools to manage patient flow, check-in schedules, and routine administrative workflows.
• Coordinate clearly with clinical staff and care teams to support seamless, efficient patient operations.

Qualifications and Key Skills

• 1-2 years of customer service experience in any fast-paced industry (e.g., retail, hospitality, office administration), 1 year of experience in a medical setting (strong plus), or an Associate's Degree
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong foundational verbal and written communication capabilities.
• Basic computer skills with comfort navigating digital software and scheduling platforms.
