Order Entry
Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $30.00/hr-$35.00/hr
Location: Milpitas, CA
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the manufacturing industry
We are excited to share a new opportunity for an Order Entry located in Milpitas, CA! This position is highly sought after and might not be available for long.
Order Entry Job Duties include:
- Order Processing: Accurately enter new customer orders into the system, ensuring all specifications and timelines are captured.
- BOM Creation: Set up and maintain detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) for new orders, identifying the parts and assemblies required for production.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure orders are configured correctly.
- Documentation: Generate necessary production paperwork, including Certificates of Conformance (COC).
- Administrative Support: Manage invoicing processes and maintain organized digital records of all orders and engineering changes.
- Cross-Department Communication: Work closely with the engineering and production teams to clarify order details and resolve discrepancies.
Order Entry Requirements may include:
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (data entry and basic formulas) and Word.
- Technical Literacy: Proven ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Mathematical Skills: Strong basic math skills (addition, subtraction, measurements) for verifying order quantities and dimensions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to take direction well and ask clarifying questions.
- Organization: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple files and orders simultaneously without errors.
Order Entry Preferred Skills include:
- Manufacturing Background: Previous experience working in a machine shop, fabrication, or assembly environment.
- Engineering Knowledge: Educational background or hands-on experience in engineering principles.
- ERP/MRP Experience: Familiarity with order entry software or manufacturing resource planning systems.
- Growth Mindset: A desire to learn the full lifecycle of an order, from entry and BOM setup to final invoicing and quality documentation.
