Key responsibilities
- Procure engineered components and technical services for capital equipment manufacturing projects
- Partner with engineering and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical specifications and project requirements
- Manage supplier performance, delivery schedules, and quality expectations
- Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and applicable industry codes
- Support supplier negotiations and cost reduction initiatives
- Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements
- Resolve supplier non-conformance issues and delivery challenges
- Support project cost tracking and earned value reporting
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- 5 years of experience in capital equipment manufacturing or a technical procurement environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ASME and PED
- Experience with ERP systems; SAP preferred
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment
- Experience presenting to senior or executive-level stakeholders preferred
