Quality Inspector

Our client, a leading precision manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Quality Inspector in East Aurora, NY.

Pay Rate Range: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Responsibilities:

• Inspect precision-machined components at inspection and production stations to ensure compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.
• Perform first-piece inspections and verify product conformity.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) on manufactured products.
• Perform random inspections and quality audits throughout the manufacturing floor.
• Utilize precision measuring equipment, including micrometers, calipers, comparators, vision systems, dial gauges, pin gauges, and precision gauge blocks.
• Verify dimensions, concentricity, squareness, parallelism, surface finish, and overall product quality.
• Perform visual inspections using microscopes to identify burrs, surface defects, and finish issues.
• Accurately document inspection results and non-conformances in written and electronic formats.
• Collaborate with machine operators and production personnel to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and housekeeping requirements.
• Support continuous improvement and maintain a strong commitment to quality and on-time production.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or team leads.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two (2) years of quality inspection experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Working knowledge of GD&T principles.
• Experience performing first-piece and First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Proficiency using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.
• Basic computer skills for inspection documentation and reporting.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.

• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic.
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is preferred.
• Knowledge of CMM programming and PC-DMIS software is preferred.
• Experience inspecting CNC-machined components made from stainless steel, titanium, and other exotic metals is preferred.
