ORDER SELECTOR – 1ST SHIFT (WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS)

Pay Rate: $15 - $18/hour

Shift: 1st shift (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

Job type: temp-to-hire

Location: Piscataway, NJ (cold storage warehouse environment)

JOB SUMMARY

As an Order Selector, you will play a key role in daily warehouse operations by ensuring materials and products are accurately received, organized, and distributed. You will help maintain inventory accuracy and support production and packaging teams by ensuring they have the materials needed to operate efficiently.

This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a cold storage environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track and manage inventory with accuracy and real-time visibility
• Operate RF scanners and mobile devices to complete inventory transactions
• Pick, receive, store, and organize warehouse materials efficiently and safely
• Support packaging and production teams by ensuring timely material availability
• Perform weekly cycle counts and inventory audits
• Identify, document, and report inventory discrepancies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment
• Follow all company procedures and food safety standards

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
• Ability to work in a cold environment
• Experience using WMS systems and RF scanners preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work overtime, weekends, or extended hours when needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Medium physical demand role
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Frequent lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs
• Standing, walking, bending, and repetitive motion throughout shift
• Ability to work in refrigerated/cold conditions for extended periods

BONUS EXPERIENCE

• Warehouse experience in food manufacturing or natural foods distribution
• Start-up or high-growth environment experience
• Previous order selecting or inventory control experience
