Mechanical Engineer – Fremont, CA
Location: Fremont, CA
Pay rate: $73.54/hr (weekly pay)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 40 Hours/Week
Work Location: On-site
Contract: Long-Term Contract with Potential for Full-Time Conversion
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This is an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for high-precision equipment.
- Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Perform feasibility studies and support design improvements.
- Develop test plans and participate in product testing and validation.
- Prepare engineering documentation and communicate design intent to manufacturing and project teams.
- Support prototype builds, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience.
- Strong experience with 3D CAD software such as NX (preferred), Creo, or SolidWorks.
- Experience designing complex mechanical systems or capital equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Semiconductor industry experience.
- Robotics or automation equipment design.
- Experience with thermal management, vacuum systems, or precision mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
