What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant to Students - North Campus position at Prestonwood Baptist Church?
Provides administrative support to the Student Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church – North Campus (“PBC-NC”).
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative assistance, including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, ordering and maintaining office supplies, managing calendars, and monitoring Students email account
- Greet students and guests in person and over the phone and direct them appropriately
- Understand fully the PBC church programming software to enter events and details
- Submit check requests, purchase orders, contract requests and other financial related items and ensure compliance with PBC policies
- Respond to requests and inquiries from students, staff, LifeGroup leaders, and parents
- Assign volunteers for events as requested
- Assist with monitoring budget, tracking invoices, researching prices and securing vendors for projects and events
- Assist with the preparation for Students events
- Manage event registrations and provide recruitment updates
- Oversee scholarships for Student events
- Track attendance and decisions for Christ
- Assist with the planning and execution of Guys and Girls events, including Freedom Weekend
- Coordinate with appropriate staff for the purpose of organizing ministry events
- Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC-NC
- Some college, college degree preferred
- Prior experience in an administrative role preferred
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products, Google Suite, and Canva
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Team player
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality
- Ability to work a Monday – Friday schedule with occasional Sundays and PBC events
- Able to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time and to perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, lifting, pushing/pulling a cart, and use of stairs and be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 20 pounds without assistance
