Take the lead on complex piping installations supporting critical infrastructure.
Preston Recruitment is representing a leading national mechanical contractor seeking a Pipe Superintendent for a major hyperscale data center project in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
You’ll direct piping field operations, organize installation crews, and coordinate work across a demanding construction schedule. We’re looking for someone who can translate drawings and project requirements into safe, productive field execution.
Experience across data centers, industrial facilities, advanced manufacturing, or other complex mechanical projects will be relevant.
Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily pipefitting and mechanical piping installation activities.
- Lead piping foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors.
- Plan labor, materials, and equipment around installation priorities.
- Review piping drawings and specifications to identify coordination issues.
- Coordinate piping installation with other mechanical systems and trades.
- Monitor productivity, workmanship, and progress against the schedule.
- Support testing, inspections, punch-list completion, and turnover.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and accountable jobsite.
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience as a Pipe Superintendent or Mechanical Superintendent with substantial piping responsibility.
- A strong background in commercial or industrial mechanical piping installations.
- Experience on mechanical projects valued at $10M .
- The ability to read piping drawings and coordinate complex installations.
- Proven leadership of large field crews.
- Strong scheduling, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Compensation & Benefits:
