Electrical Estimator II – Austin, TX

Preston Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly growing Texas electrical contractor looking to add an Electrical Estimator II to its Austin operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator with approximately 2–4 years of commercial or industrial electrical estimating experience who wants to join a business experiencing significant growth across Central Texas.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates and quantity takeoffs
- Review drawings, specifications, RFQs and RFPs
- Develop competitive and commercially accurate bid packages
- Obtain and analyse vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions and potential project risks
- Participate in estimate reviews and project turnover meetings
- Work closely with senior estimators, project managers and operational leadership
- Support multiple concurrent bids while maintaining accuracy and deadlines
What We’re Looking For:
- 2-4 years of electrical estimating experience
- Commercial and/or industrial electrical construction background
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Experience with Accubid and LiveCount strongly preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Journeyman electrical experience is advantageous but not essential
