POSITION SUMMARY: Presto Distribution Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Lead to join our day shift team at our Nettleton, MS facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work for a leading distributor of houseware products, National Presto Industries. We are looking for a skilled professional committed to our high standards of product quality, safety and efficiency to work in a dynamic distribution environment. The Warehouse Lead areas of responsibility include but are not limited to: training and mentoring new employees in their work area. Ensuring that the employees are preforming their duties in a safe, proper, and consistent manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
- May prepare shippers; checks items to be shipped against shippers to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
- Must be able to recognize product and part numbers on cartons.
- Must be able to know how and where to apply labels.
- Must be able to read and follow instruction on shippers.
- Must be able to know the difference between different types of pallets.
- May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment; may operate shrink-wrap machine may assist in routine maintenance of equipment and shipping area
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, and environmental standards.
- Must be able to follow Safety policies.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed in a warehouse with exposure to noise, dust, fumes and seasonal temperature changes.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Work requires moderate physical effort and use of motor skills requiring manual dexterity. While performing duties of this job, employee will regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel and crouch. Employee may lift, lower, push, pull or carry product up to a maximum of 50 pounds by hand. Must be able to read and hear verbal instructions in person.

NORMAL WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with 1/2 hour unpaid lunch break.

Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of related experience, preferred
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Identifying areas of improvement and adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Strong people-to-people skills
- The ability to effectively communicate with the staff and have good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to direct others to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies
