Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 7 years of software development and data engineering experience
- Extensive background in data governance and architecture within the investment management space, including hedge funds, private equity, wealth management, or similar sectors
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, C#, and experience with DBT, Airflow, Terraform, Snowflake, AWS, and cloud-native architectures
- Proven ability to design complex data models and pipelines, with a focus on security, observability, and high availability
- Experience with data modeling, automation, and building data-centric applications
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to mentor teams and drive technical strategy
- Lead data architecture development, including pipelines, warehouses, and security standards
- Mentor and onboard team members focused on modern data technologies
- Collaborate with IT and development teams to define reference architectures and select technical components
- Develop and evolve data models, pipelines, and operational processes
- Partner with analytics teams to ensure data quality, governance, and availability for business insights
- Contribute to building the company’s AI strategy and incorporate innovative solutions
- Establish platform standards and best practices for data management, security, and disaster recovery
- Research emerging data technologies and evaluate their applicability
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new tools and vendors
- Build reusable, scalable, and efficient data solutions that support business needs and compliance
