Summary: We are seeking an experienced Medical Revenue Recovery Specialist 2 to join our team. As a key member of our revenue recovery team, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate recovery of outstanding claims for our hospital clients. You will conduct thorough analysis of denied claims, communicate with payors, and maintain meticulous records to maximize revenue recovery.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in revenue recovery, healthcare insurance billing, or a related field
- Expertise in medical terminology and coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, procedures, bill types, diagnosis, and revenue codes)
- Strong knowledge of debt collection laws and HIPAA compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage time effectively
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough analysis of denied claims to determine underlying reasons for denial and execute follow-up actions
- Communicate with payors to resolve account denials and ensure timely and accurate recovery of outstanding claims
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date records of claim activities, including appeals, follow-ups, and resolutions
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines governing claims processing and revenue recovery activities
- Identify recurring trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement and communicate insights to management
- Escalate complex or challenging accounts to management to ensure effective progression
- Perform administrative tasks focused on revenue recovery for hospital clients
