Position Overview
The Host is the first point of contact for guests at Press Club Ballad Brewing. This role is essential to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a smooth dining experience from the moment guests arrive until they are seated.
Requirements
Age: Must be at least 16 years of age or older
Availability: Must have weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday)
Key Responsibilities
- Greet all guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Manage the reservation system and waitlist efficiently
- Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries and reservations
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Communicate wait times accurately and keep guests informed
- Coordinate with servers and management to ensure proper table rotation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area
- Assist with to-go orders when needed
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly, outgoing personality with a positive attitude
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Punctual and reliable
- Previous host or customer service experience preferred but not required
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs occasionally
