Billing Specialist - Keep the numbers clean and the revenue moving.
Location: Edinboro, PA 16412
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8 am - 5 pm
About Us:
Presque Isle Rehabilitation Service, LLC (PIRS) is a medical case management, vocational rehabilitation, and medicolegal solutions company serving auto no-fault, liability, and workers' compensation claims. Our promise is simple: Navigating Care. Delivering Results. We live our core values every day: Compassion, Innovation, Integrity, Quality, and Reliability.
About the Role:
Nothing we do counts until it's billed, and nothing is finished until it's collected. We're looking for a sharp, organized Billing Specialist to own billing for our case management services and our medicolegal division, and to keep collections current. You'll be the professional voice of PIRS on every billing call and email, so excellent communication matters as much as accuracy. Internally, we call this seat the Green Visor … the classic hat of someone who keeps the books clean.
What You'll Do:
- Complete and process case management billing accurately, completely, and on schedule.
- Complete and process billing for our medicolegal division.
- Manage collections: monitor outstanding balances, follow up professionally with clients and payers, and resolve discrepancies.
- Post and reconcile payments and keep organized, audit-ready billing records.
- Communicate clearly and courteously with clients, payers, and internal staff on billing and account questions.
- Keep a pulse on overall revenue cycle health and flag trends and risks to leadership.
- Own and report your weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and participate in cadenced weekly team meetings.
What We're Looking For:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, college or university is preferred.
- Strong clerical skills and solid administrative experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication … you'll represent PIRS in every billing conversation.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail with figures, invoices, and account records.
- Organization, follow-through, and professional persistence on outstanding accounts.
- Proficiency with standard office and billing software such as Microsoft Office and QuickBooks.
- Discretion with confidential financial and case information (HIPAA).
- Billing or A/R certification(s) are preferred.
Why You'll Like Working Here:
We run on EOS (the Entrepreneurial Operating System), which means you'll always know exactly what success looks like in your seat: clear accountabilities, measurable weekly KPIs on a team Scorecard, and cadenced weekly team meetings where issues get raised and solved … not buried. If you like structure, clarity, and a team that actually follows its Proven Processes, you'll feel at home here.
