What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Programmer position at PRESCOTT METAL?
Summary
This position is responsible for programming Prescott’s cutting machines and press brakes (Amada Laser Punch combination, Amada Ensis Laser, Amada Punch), using SolidWorks Cad software and SigmaNest camming software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use SolidWorks CAD software to optimize design using customer supplied drawings/models.
- Develop flat patterns to be used in the camming process.
- Verify incoming work orders for accuracy.
- Assist customers with design improvements.
- Provide detailed build drawings to production floor as required.
- Assist production with design and tooling issues.
- Manage change requests from customers and floor personnel and maintain controlled documentation.
- Review peer drawings and programs for accuracy.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned to help Prescot Metal/EAM achieve its goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical school certificate in related field of study.
- Minimum of 3 years of SolidWorks CAD experience.
- Experience and/or knowledge of metal fabrication.
- Three years of programming experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical skills to support position including Microsoft Excel.
