What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Paraprofessional for Dyslexia position at Prescott Elementary School?
Required: Associates Degree or 60 college hours or passed the Praxis ParaPro test and will be required to complete dyslexia training as needed.
Job Description:
- Implement instructional activities with students as directed by the teacher and/or building principal.
- Assist in the preparation of lesson plans, instructional materials, and data collection.
- Assume responsibility for being prepared to perform instructional duties as prescribed by the teacher.
- Implement behavior management techniques as directed by the teacher/supervisor, and treat all students with dignity and respect.
- Assist with the maintenance of the classroom.
- Assist with duties including but not limited to the lunchroom, recess, bus, etc.
- Participate in training, staffing, and faculty meetings as directed by the building principal and Administration.
- Adhere to confidentiality policies and practices for students under IDEA as outlined by the teacher.
- Follow any Prescott School Board Policy and/or practice.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the administration, building principal, and/or the supervising teacher.
