What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dyslexia Interventionist position at Stuttgart School District?
The Stuttgart School District is seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Dyslexia Interventionist for the 2026/2027 school year to provide targeted, research-based instruction to students identified with characteristics of dyslexia. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in the Science of Reading and a passion for helping struggling readers achieve success through structured literacy practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- Valid Arkansas teaching license
- Training in Take Flight intervention program preferred, OR willingness to attend and commit to the full 2-year Take Flight training
- Strong understanding of dyslexia, structured literacy, and the Science of Reading
- Knowledge of phonological awareness, decoding, fluency, spelling, and comprehension instruction
- Experience working with students with reading difficulties or dyslexia preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
