The Literacy Coach / Dyslexia Interventionist drives school-wide literacy achievement. This specialist coaches educators in the Science of Reading and delivers intensive, evidence-based interventions to students with characteristics of dyslexia within a framework.
Key Responsibilities
•Deliver explicit, systematic interventions to individuals or small groups.
•Implement dyslexia-specific curricula and track student progress.
•Partner with classroom teachers to analyze data, model lessons, and provide feedback.
•Design professional learning sessions centered on evidence-based reading practices.
•Collaborate with Special Education and 504 teams to ensure compliance.
•Partner with families to share home-based literacy strategies.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Education, Reading, or related field (Master’s preferred).
•Valid State Teaching Certification.
•Certified training in a research-based dyslexia program (e.g., Take Flight)
•3–5 years of classroom teaching experience with proven reading growth.
